SSL Certificate Renewal
SSL certificates have an expiry date and must be renewed to maintain security.
Free Let's Encrypt SSL
Let's Encrypt certificates auto-renew every 90 days via cPanel. No action needed. If auto-renewal fails:
- Log in to cPanel
- Go to Security → SSL/TLS Status
- Click Run AutoSSL
- Wait a few minutes for completion
Paid SSL (Comodo/Sectigo/RapidSSL)
- Log in to Client Area
- Go to Services → My Services
- Find your SSL certificate service
- Click Renew
- Complete payment
- Generate a new CSR if required
- Complete domain validation (DCV)
- Install the renewed certificate
Check Expiry Date
- Click the padlock icon in your browser
- View certificate details to see the expiry date
- Use SSL Checker for detailed analysis
What Happens If SSL Expires?
Visitors will see a "Your connection is not private" warning. Search engines may also demote your site in rankings.
